Privacy policy.
Updated 11 October 2026
Snooker Rivals operates the Snooker Rivals game, website and connected services. This policy explains how information is used when you play as a guest, register an account or use our community features.
Information you provide
Registered accounts provide an email address, username, password and optional country flag or profile picture. Passwords are stored as password hashes, rather than readable passwords. Guests receive an assigned name and player identifier. We store the messages, friend requests, invitations, forum posts, poll votes, support conversations and uploaded pictures you choose to send.
Information from playing
We record online frame results, breaks, shot and gameplay statistics, and visits used to produce player statistics. We use player and device identifiers, connection information, IP addresses and limited security records to keep sessions working, count online players, prevent abuse and investigate errors. We do not require precise device location, your contacts, microphone access or access to your entire photo library.
How information is used
We use this information to run matches and accounts, reconnect players, display profiles and records, deliver messages, improve the game, and maintain safety. Reports retain the relevant content and identifiers for review by our care team. We do not sell player information.
What other players can see
Your displayed name, flag, avatar, public statistics and leaderboard records are visible to other players. Room messages are visible to participants in that room. Forum posts and attached images are public and may appear in search engines. Private messages are available to the conversation participants; relevant messages may also be reviewed by our care team when reported. Support conversations are private to you and our care team. Your email address, password hash and account session credentials are not part of your public profile.
Cookies and device storage
Essential cookies keep registered accounts signed in. Login sessions normally last up to 30 days and game-access tickets are short lived. Device storage remembers guest identity, game preferences and cached game assets. Clearing browser or app storage may remove your guest access or preferences. There is currently no advertising SDK in the game.
Images, links and other services
Uploaded profile and forum pictures are checked and converted to a standard image format; original upload metadata is discarded. Forum YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embeds, but playing or loading third-party content can still send information to that service. Discord and Buy Me a Coffee links take you to separate services with their own privacy policies. Our hosting provider processes the network requests needed to deliver the game.
How long information is kept
Account and gameplay records are kept while your account exists. Messages and forum content remain until removed through the applicable controls or account deletion. Room chat has a limited in-memory history and is not a permanent message archive. Reports and their review history expire after 90 days and are cleared when the reporting system is next accessed. Open support conversations remain while they need attention; resolved conversations expire after 90 days without an update and are cleared when Support is next accessed. Account deletion removes your support conversations. Block lists and social-access restrictions remain until removed or the account is deleted. Limited security records may be retained where needed to investigate abuse or meet a legal obligation. Database backups can contain older copies after information is removed from the active game; access is restricted and copies are removed through backup retention and deletion procedures.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion from your profile or through our account deletion page. Deletion removes login access, private account data and your uploaded images. Your removed forum content is replaced with a deletion notice where needed to preserve other people’s replies. Shared frame records may retain an anonymous “Deleted player” entry so an opponent’s result remains valid. You cannot recover the deleted account by signing in again.
Your choices and requests
You can remove your profile picture, manage your flag, report content, block players and delete your account. For an access, correction or privacy request, contact our care team through Support. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting. Never send us your password.
Policy changes
This game is in pre-alpha. If data practices change, we will update this page and its date. Changes to the community rules require a new acceptance before using social features.
